As a ministry of First Baptist Church of Winchester, Hunting Ridge Retreat hosts a growing number of Christian groups from around the mid-Atlantic region who seek spiritual growth and refreshment. Our mission is to make available to all God’s people opportunities for recreation, fellowship, and spiritual growth in the midst of God’s creation. Our vision is to help build the kingdom of God by being an outstanding center for Christian spiritual growth and development.
This 350-acre property was purchased by the church in 1957 and most of the facilities were built near 1968. We are now entering a new growth phase of our history. The need for retreats continues to develop in our society, and we plan to be a resource to meet this need for years to come. We are very proud of our heritage here and we are excited to see what God will do at Hunting Ridge Retreat in the years to come. Through this ministry, the First Baptist Church of Winchester is able to touch the lives and hearts of thousands of people throughout the region.
