SHAPE NOTES THEN AND NOW:

The culminating event of Singing in the Valley: A Shape-Note Festival, this program of choral, instrumental, and organ music based on hymns from the shape-note singing tradition will feature combined area choirs and instrumentalists,  including conductor Lori Horne Pendleton, organist Dan Miller and others.

EMULATE:

This elite vocal ensemble,  from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA, is directed by noted composer and Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Ryan Keebaugh.

APPALACHIAN WIND QUINTET:

Founded in 1987, this award- winning woodwind quintet based in Hagerstown, Maryland,  is known for its superb musicianship and innovative programming.

Annual Spring concert of this semi-professional chamber choir, formed in 2009, Directed by Dr. Jeffrey Alban and accompanied by Dan Miller.
