The Schoolage Fall Retreat will be held at Hunting Ridge Retreat Friday beginning at 6:00pm and Saturday ending at 1:00pm, October 28-29, for 1st-5th grade children. Included are three meals, snacks, fun activities, morning Bible study, and a hike. Male and female chaperones are needed. L.I.N.K. (Loving, Innovative, Nurturing Kindship) is comprised of several groups of adults who meet in restaurants or their homes to share food and fellowship. Anyone interested in joining is invited to a brief meeting immediately following the 11:00am worship service on October 9 in the Lower Auditorium. The Family Fall Festival will be on Saturday, October 8, from 1:00-3:00pm at Hunting Ridge Retreat. Activities will include a scavenger hunt, crafts, painting mini pumpkins and more! Help is needed for setting up, supplies, and the scavenger hunt. Plan to join us for a fun day!
Signs of Hope, a Christ-centered, facilitated support group for the bereaved, will begin on Monday, October 3, at 7:00pm in the 301 House. Participants will explore morning through Scripture, prayer, reflection activities, and faith-sharing. Anyone who feels a need for grief support is encouraged to attend at any time. A Youth Parent Luncheon will be held on Sunday, September 25, at 12:15pm in the CEB for all youth parents. The youth will present their upcoming events and invite parents to sign up to help with our various trips, studies, and activities. Please RSVP by Sunday, September 18, by calling the church office if you plan to attend so we can plan adequate food.
During Sunday School on Sunday, September 25, Missionaries Barry & Quita Staley will be speaking about their work in Guatemala in the sanctuary. Anyone interested in learning more about their ministry and mission work is invited to attend.
Thursday morning Bible study continues September 22 at 9:30am in the Lower Auditorium. The focus of the ten week study is Second Samuel.
Wednesday evening activities continue on September 21. Dinner is at 5:45pm followed by an inter-generational Bible study for schoolagers, youth and adults at 6:30pm. Preschool Care is at 6:30pm. If you wish to submit an annual permanent reservation, fill out the reservation card found in the pew rack and place in the offering plate.
