MOTC – Music on the Corner (February 19)

The Music on the Corner Series,Spring 2017 edition, will kick-off on Sunday, February 19, at 4:00pm with The Fiddle and the Faith: Music of Southern Appalachia. Fiddler Mike Maher will present songs from the gospel tradition, fiddle tunes, and popular songs of the Mountain regions. Ageless Adventurers (February 14)

The Ageless Adventurers will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a luncheon at Millwood Steak & Seafood on Tuesday, February 14, at 11:30am. Please plan to meet at the restaurant, bud do call the church office (662-5367) to make your reservation.

WATTS WEEK (February 13-20)

WATTS (Winchester ARea Temporary Thermal Shelter) week for First Baptist Church is February 13-20, 2017. WATTS volunteer sign-up continues in the new narthex. You may also contact the church office or Abbye Gordon. Offering envelopes to benefit the WATTS program are available in each narthex.

WATTS Volunteer Meeting (February 12)

A meeting for all WATTS Volunteers will be on Sunday, February 12, immediately following the 11:00am worship service in the Lower Auditorium.

WATTS Benefit at Joe’s Steakhouse (February 12)

Joe’s Steakhouse at 25 West Piccadilly Street will be serving their famous prime rib Sunday buffet on February 12 from 10:00am-2:00pm to benefit WATTS. The cost of the brunch is $14.99 per person and includes, in addition to prime rib carving station, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, waffles, vegetables, pasta, fish and more. The donation to WATTS will be 25% of the proceeds. Reservations are recommended (667-3463).

Wednesday Evening Activities (February 8)

Wednesday Evening Activities resume on February 8. Dinner is at 5:45pm followed by age group activities. If you wish to submit an annual permanent reservation, fill out the reservation card found in the pew rack and place in the offering place. Singin’ Seniors (February 7)

The Singin’ Seniors will meet at 11:30am at Perkins on Tuesday, February 7, for lunch. No need to call the church office–just come join the group for good food and fellowship.
